Chickens on Parade

The San Marcos Arts Council has created “Chickens On Parade”

28 plain white plaster chickens were sponsored by local businesses then matched up artists who worked with each businesses to create one of a kind, specialty designed chickens that will be on display in local businesses.

The Council has included community involvement by creating a Scavenger Hunt and Photo Contest that all can participate in through September 30th with prizes and awards for the winners at a silent auction Gala at Walnut Grove Park in October. “We are excited and proud to have been a part of this event that supports the local artist community and helps drives traffic to local business”, said Tonya Lenz, Owner of Twin Oaks Gallery Art and Frame, Board Member and Artist Coordinator for the San Marcos Arts Council.
